Siemon Releases the Industrial LC Fibre System
Siemon, a recognised leader in network cabling systems and components, has released a new industrial-grade fibre optic connector suitable for use in harsh environments. The Industrial LC fibre solution provides a robust high performance fibre connection in even the most challenging manufacturing environments.
An IP66/IP67-rated connector designed for the rigors of industrial environments, the Industrial LC is based on the industry-standard LC fibre optic connector encapsulated in a high-impact, chemical-resistant thermoplastic housing, making it immune to dust, moisture, wash-down, vibration, and temperature extremes. The connector housing is a variant of Siemon's proven, tri-pin bayonet Industrial MAX RJ45 connector, which has been widely accepted and utilized in the harsh-environment market for over three years.
The Industrial LC is a duplex-style LC fibre connector, compatible with standards-compliant optical fibre, including 50 and 62.5 micron multimode and meets ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.3 and ISO/IEC 11801 Ed.2.0 specifications.
In addition to encapsulation, the Industrial LC affords users an expanded operational temperature range, redundant sealing and superior strain relief capabilities.
